How are IPL Photo Facial treatments done?

At Imperial Plastic Surgery in Westport, Connecticut, your procedure will begin with a skin cleansing with alcohol. If necessary, a topical anesthetic cream may be used to numb the treatment area. A soothing gel is applied to the treatment areas. Using a computer controlled prism-like device, Dr. Singer flashes intense light pulses through the prism at the treatment area.

Who is a good candidate for IPL Photo Facial treatments?

Men and Women of all ages who suffer from hyper-pigmentation, large pores, Rosacea marks, sun damage or aging skin can benefit from IPL treatment. IPL treatments can be performed on the hands, arms, legs, neck and torso as well as the face.

What are the results?

Can I go home the same day?

Yes, you can go home right after your treatment. If you feel up to it, you can even go out. With IPL Photo Facials there is little to no downtime. Some patients may have swelling or redness of the treatment area, and it is very important to wear sunscreen on the treated areas if you are spending time out of doors.
