Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) for Connecticut Photo Facial

Possible Complications

In the rarest of cases, blistering or scarring can occur. Permanent changes to skin pigmentation can also occur. These are very rare occurrences, and during your consultation at our Westport, CT, medical offices, Dr. Singer will discuss your level of risk based on your skin tone and medical history.

Immediately following your IPL Photo Facial, your skin may appear flush at the treatment site. Coloration may appear darker and you may have some swelling for a day or two. As these effects fade, you will see more even skin tones, smoother skin, and you will feel the texture firming even after your first treatment. If there is swelling, Dr. Singer recommends staying out of the elements.

Protecting treated skin from UV rays is very important. Dr. Singer will recommend a sunscreen for continual use after treatment.
