Because collagen fillers are not permanent, and because CosmoDerm® and CosmoPlast® contain the anesthetic lidocaine to temporarily numb the treated area reducing the amount of discomfort or pain caused by the injection, this treatment is highly recommended to patients who have not previously used injectable fillers.
